Following the shock news, the two said rushed goodbyes before being interviewed by Ant and Dec.
'I expected it to be hard in the jungle, but it was really hard,' said Tinchy. 'Still, I made it. I'm picky with my food but I've been eating crocodile.'
He added: 'It got scary, but day by day it got easier in the trials. I just kept calm. The one in the tomb was scary, but I kept calm.
He also waxed lyrical about his unlikely friendship with Michael Buerk.
'Michael is my right-hand man. The album will be out soon!' he joked. 'We're going to meet up soon and play table tennis. He was my best friend in there.'

Meanwhile, Kendra admitted that she entered the contest without any knowledge about it.
'I came in blind. I defiitely thought I was walking into a fake movie set. I thought I was gonna have to act - but that's not how it works. I didn't even know about the Bushtucker Trials.
Now I'm a little desensitised to cockroaches now. I definitely used all of my adrenaline in the first week and, for all the time afterwards, I felt like a zombie. It's tiring.
'When I won ten stars it was because I'd faced my fears. I realised that it took me a few minutes of screaming, then I could get started.'

Only hours earlier Kendra had been accused of playing the coquette in a bid to become crowned queen of the jungle.
The former Playboy bunny had been busy keeping viewers entertained by her shameless flirtation with Carl Fogarty, the biker champ who also happens to be 20 years her senior.
However, her plan has seemingly backfired with many expressing their disdain toward her attempts at influencing audience voting.

Not happy: Unsurprisingly, the blonde model discussed her fight with former MP Edwina Currie
Unsurprisingly, following her unexpected exit, the blonde model discussed her fight with former MP Edwina Currie.
'I was in a really vulnerable place and she just butted in - and she attacked me. It hurt me.
How dare a woman of her age attack somebody like me. I'm a young mum and I'm doing this for my kids. She needed to back-up. I'm the bigger person.'
Tinchy said he wanted Mel to win, while Kendra said she also wanted Mel to win.
Good pals: 'Michael Buerk is my right-hand man. The album will be out soon!' Tinchy joked
