To celebrate Leonard Cohen's 80th birthday on Sunday, RTÉ Radio 1's Cathal Murray is dedicating the entire Weekend on One show to the man himself.
Speaking about the decision to honour the legendary musician, Murray told RTÉ Ten, "Ireland has had a long standing love affair with Leonard Cohen his shows here have slipped into legend.
"The great man turns 80 on Sunday and to celebrate this, and the release of his new album Popular Problems, the whole of the Weekend on One with Cathal Murray will be dedicated to him.
"We'll featuring his beautiful songs, covers of his work and music from some of the artists he's influenced over his incredible six decade career. Tune into Leonard at 80 on the Weekend on One with Cathal Murray Sunday morning 6.00am to 8.00am on RTÉ Radio 1."
